The Amazing Open World of Red Dead Online.

So i am a bit behind on Rockstars game Red Dead Redemption 2 and its tie in game Red Dead Online. I will admit i have not given the main story much of a look due to i have been enjoying the online game far to much to switch over.

In Red Dead Online you make your Avatar that can be male or female. For me i actually made and rock a female character in this game. The male designs in this game i personally not a fan of and they just seem off. However whatever you rock however you rock it welcome to 1899!

An 1899 where you can basically do what you want while you get revenge on those who wronged you. No spoilers for the story of course but WOW. So good.

One thing that does annoy me is that in order to unlock the jobs of trader or, collector etc. You need to use gold aka premium currency. You can buy the premium currency or earn it in game which if you max out how much you can make shouldn’t take you terribly long to do.

All and all my time in game continues to be a blast and enjoying my time alone and with friends. When we are not trying to lasso ourselves up we primarly are working on the bounty hunter role. We’ll eventually do the other roles well but we also just enjoy the day over all running around doing this or that.

This is a game i know everyone has played both in single player and also in online but it truly is a great fun game.

The magic of Mahjong!

Hello Dear readers,

So i’ve been traveling these past few weeks and due to throwing my back out at 31 no lesss i have been trying to find way to occupy my time. Enter Mahjong Soul. The Riichi Mahjong game you can play on your phone or computer by yo-star.

This game allows you to play Japanese style Mahjong with 4 other people, or AI for those who want to better understand the game before going in with other players.

If you feel like unlocking more tyle styles or mats or characters you will need jade which is a premium currency which does cost money, or wait for a event and see if you can unlock things that way.

The more i play the more hooked i become on wanting to master this tile game. 🙂 They also hold regular tourenments where only the best of the best play. Hopefully one day you’ll see me there lol.

Also if you want a friend my code is

ID: 109375340
Can’t wait to see you all at the table!

What phone games do you all play to pass the time?

The communities we are a part of

Hey Dear Readers,

I hope everyone has been well. I think it is amazing as a gamer the communities we are a part of.

I think about the great group of people i play with who are all across the spectrum. Young, old, some play only one game others play a few different ones.

I think about the group in Startrek Online who i play with and who are so welcoming and they always make sure everyone has a place and has missions done if there is an event going on.

Communities are of course what we make of them but wow when you make them and are a part of them it is pardon the pun a game changer.

To Boldly Go into Star Trek Online

So its been a minute since i’ve updated you all and that is in large part due to being sucked into StarTrek Online.

This game is nothing new to many MMO players but wow has it held up well. I am as you all could guess playing on Xbox which is a few months behind but it is still a wonderful experiance with House United launched back in August.

Also for an older MMO they have a ton of different campaign paths which has not helped my mindless hours put into my many different characters.

What do you all think have you played STO? What faction is your favorite, what about ship what do you like to fly around in. I would love to more.

Why i LOVE our older gaming community

Hey Dear Readers,

I get that i am probably on the older side of gaming being 31 but i love meeting fellow older gamers.

That is not to say the younger gaming generation is bad. On the countrary i have many gaming buds who are in highschool and college who are some great friends and i love being able to give them some wisdom on life.

However them being younger i at times want to bang my head on the wall as to the stupid and dare i say childish behavior. There has been plenty of times where i have just straight up left the Xbox party out of frusteration.

Enter in my older gaming friends who are a true treat when i find them and we click haha. These gamers are older or roughly the same age and just amazing. We talk about work, family, life, health, and just enjoy the company while we are in a party. Yes we are questing and or shooting baddies but it is so much more relaxed and calm.

Some work retail, some are between jobs, some are not able to but not letting that hold them back from trying to hussle in other ways. Such as streaming on twitch or youtube. Which was not a thing when i was a kid and i love that we can try to do that.

The biggest thing for me is not having to apologize for life just happening i say this because so many young gamers they eat and sleep their game of choice. I get tunnel vision happens but my health be it physical or mental takes priority.

It is second nature now to get on a chat and apologize for not joining sooner or not being on all morning and bam we’ll start gaming but the added stress is there for me. Even though yes it is 100% a me problem i need to work on. It is something the younger generation at times gives us older generation grief for.

With the older generation everytime i have started to apologize i’m told not to worry about it and they are just happy i am on now or just hey life happens. Which is a great change of pace and allows me to not stress about it.

My last biggiest thing that makes me love my fellow older gamers is COMMUNICATION yes it is not a one size fits all and not everyone young or old is great at communication but i have found the older generation is much better at talking things out in a chat rather then raging and leaving the chat.

Yes that can be summed up to just being older and wiser but it also is nice to not have people call each other poo heads every other word when a battle isn’t going the right way.

Instead my older generation friends will say “Alright we totally sucked. Lets discuss what went wrong”. And its like yes. Lets not lay blame lets go forward as a group and be epic together.

I get a lot of the above comparing and contrasting will most likely be weeded out with the younger generation getting older but lets make sure as the next generation comes into gaming we show them good habits and better over all.

I get not every young gamer is bad or annoying and every older generation gamer is good and walks on water. This big blue world has many different people on it but we as a gaming community need to better to learn from our older gamers both just listen about life but realize we are all one day going to be the olde gamer and should continue to make our community and world a better place.

What do you all think about our older generation gamers. Are you one as well? Or do you think i am totally wrong. Let me know 🙂

It’s okay to go offline

Hello Readers,

So i often think we as gamers need to remember its okay to go offline. You’re thinking okay Otome. What do you mean by that. Well let me tell you my dear reader.

I mean two things from that.

1. Don’t forget we live on this big ball with nature, and birds, and sunshine. Every now and then get out of your room, or house and see the outside world. Your mental health and eyes will thank you. Even if it just to decompress from that last boss battle, or that crazy round you just had in a shooter.

2. Also probably most importantly. Don’t forget to take time for you. Yes i know you’re thinking you game there for you already are taking time for you. Yes that is true enough but i mean more then that. Don’t forget your favorite shows or maybe that one anime you’ve been meaning to watch but you just haven’t had a moment to yourself when you get online to do that.

That is what going offline is for we gamers love our games. No duh, and we also love our gaming community we’ve built up of all our friends. However that said. I don’t know about you all but at times when i get online i go into the who is gonna invite me to their party first mode.

Don’t get me wrong it is wonderful to feel loved by my gaming friends but as someone who cut the cable cord and use my xbox to stream there are times where i just want a me day

If i join my friends later on great but i really want a day where i can binge watch some Downton Abbey or just get losy in a youtube hole and take a mental break from killing bosses or grinding that next level out.

Maybe you all can be in a party with friends who are gaming or doing their own thing while you are doing yours and if you can that is awesome. I know a few people like that but i would just remind you to take time for you.

Enjoy going offline and being in the moment as much as we all love going into our digital worlds of choice. 🙂

So here is my question for you all. Aside from gaming what is something you all do for you. Give me another hobby you like. 🙂 i can’t wait to read them.

Is it wrong to want a Boyfriend to Dungeon Delve with?

Hello Dear Readers,

So this is not an Anime title. Though if you know what the inspiration is from points for you 🙂

However the question is a valid one now with Boyfriend Dungeon out on Xbox gamepass. This cute dungeon crawler and dating sim is awesome.

If you like games like Hades but were dying for a more in depth dating experiance this will probably scratch that itch.

You can choose your pronouns, if that is your thing and you can choose your choice of dating partner regardless of their gender. That to me isn’t the coolest part though.

To me the coolest part is that your partner, who ever you choose will be a weapon. Saber, sword etc etc. And you dear reader are the welder of them and that is one of the ways you gain experiance and up their romance level as you go about the dungeon.

Tell me of a game that gives you that! I’ll wait….none that is for sure as far as i am aware. The dating aspect of the game though doesn’t really leave a lot to want. It is pretty routine choose your response up the friendship / relationship level etc etc nothing really new.

The story is pretty bland as well your typical MC who has never had success dating and is spending the summer with your cousin. There is also a slight mystery to solve as well but again nothing to crazy to write home about.

Still though it is a great game and i highly recommend this to anyone and everyone who likes a dungeon crawler or dating sim to give this a go you will mot regret it.

Stellaris and the Wonderful stories you can tell

Hey Wonderful Readers,

I know i am probably late to the party but can we all talk about how amazing Stellaris is. Regardless of if you play on PC or on console like myself. This is a true masterpiece of a strategy game.

I love this game. Lets start with how amazing it is that you can make your own empire from the ground up. Pic a profile and go from there. What do you want to be called, what will your people hold dear. Are you a military power or more of a peaceful nation. Do you have a Republic, Military Junta, Kingdom, Empire or something else entirely. You can do that and it is just the start.

Are you a hive mind, or a machine intellegence what is your reason for being. To bring the galaxy together or be a monster and tear it apart. The choice is yours and that is amazing.

All of this is not including the in game events that happen, the mid game events, and of course the end game crisis. Working with or against our galactic brothers and sisters in the senate.

No Stellaris run is ever going to be the same and it is truly a blast. Also getting your friends invovled is also a great thing and adds to the fun you can have because everyone is going to have their own ideas of what to do and how to do it. Most my my friends are all about war. I am more of the diplomatic way building friendships and defensive pacts. There is no one way to play your empire.

Have you all played Stellaris, what do you like or dislike or do you have another you all love?

Choices, and we love them

Hey party people so i was thinking. What keeps me coming back to Otome games, Rpgs, JRPGs and the like and i thought about it and its the choice. At least for me. The choices also help shape the world we make and our own stories.

If we sit back and look at Otome games, or any dating sim we play to be able to choose that guy or girl we want to romance. THEN, we go back and do it again to see what we missed in prior path. Plus who doeen’t love yummy hot men fauning over you. There is also the added benefit that we get to see the other story arcs finish up nicely as well.

In many RPG’s or JRPG’s you can choose who you marry, among many other options. Look at famous games of this like the Fable, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, KOTOR. Speaking for myself i loved going back and choosing different things from a privous playthrough and see how it changes.

Choice, even when it comes to the dialog is a factor as well. You can make jokes, flirt. Be broodish and just enjoy being pulled in that much more to what is going on in the world around you. Will your party members love you or hate you. Will you be the hero or the villian of your story. The diologe choices we make help that.

All of these above are just of course my examples and by no means the end all and be all of choices and examples big or small. What do you all think? Does choice matter to you or is there another reason you come back to Otome games, RPG’s or JRPG’s.

I can’t wait to hear your thoughts.

The adventures in streaming continues

Hello friends! So as many of you know i took the dive into streaming not long ago. It has been rather interesting in that it is for me 100% a hobby. I game a ton due to being a home body with me and my cat but with my body and energy i don’t feel comfortable putting up a schedule yet.

The greatest joy i have found from streaming on twitch are its fellow streamers. When i am having a not great pain day i can go to those who i know share a passion for a game i enjoy and just come into the community and am welcomed with open arms.

I can also learn a great deal from them both from watching them stream or just hearing the streamer talk about the game they are playing.

Be it Dead by Daylight, Elderscrolls Online, Division 2, Stellaris or countless others if there is a game you enjoy there is probably a community for you when it comes to streaming.

One of my favorite streamers is KurokaMishima who is a DBD player among other games and his community is awesome and growing 🙂 his witty banter with his viewers and even those who mod is great and i can honestly say if i am not listening to an audiobook in bed i am watching his stream and taking notes.

His info will be below to his twitch and i highly recommend checking him out.

Who do you all like? Any reccomendations i’ll happily check them out.
