45 Hours into Hogwarts Legacy still going strong

Hey Readers,

Let’s be real most articles coming out say that the main story is roughly 20 hours and most regular players are about 30-35 hours.

I am 45 hours in as of my last save and just now about to finish the main story. I have my list of things to still do. Such as finding all Shiney Magical Beasts, finishing landing platforms and my field guide as a whole.

I’ll admit I find the start of the game the most exciting. Getting your house sorted, finding your wand and the dueling club just a total blast.

It is nice that the game as you continue your story opens up for more freedom and what you can do with your free time between quests and classes but at times I struggle wanting to do the platforms, or the ancient wells of power.  I would rather find another class to do as a side quest, not just left to find something to do on my own

It’s an odd complaint for sure. I think it is just that too much of an open world can, for me as a gamer, be super overwhelming.

Gaming changes happen so do our social circle with it and thats okay

Hello Dear Readers,

Stop me if this has happened to you. Your gaming group changes due to life, your games change, your interest changes. All of these are okay.

Be it in gaming, or work or personal life. Change happens it can be scary and we may hate it but we must go on.

It does not mean your friendships die. Friendships if they are true do not have an expiration date to them. Let them change but keep them close.

End Game.

Hey Dear Readers,

Question for you all. Specifically to MMO’s does end game matter to you?

As i had said in my prior post i’ve been playing a TON of ESO, Elder Scrolls Online. Now my dear Grey Claws is not even remotely in the thousands for his champion points level. As of last night he was i think 616.

My friends and i were trying to run Fang Lair and i was not putting out enough damange for my class. So after we gave up on the run. One of my guildmates was helping me understand things specific to end game and gear and abilities.

Now that guildmate was correct on many points. However when he was explaining it i felt extremely out of my depth and almost as if i were in a college lecture and it was coming at me way to fast and was extremely overwhelming.

So, this got me thinking. Does it matter? Sure some of this thought came from a bitter pill i had to swallow on not being good enough team wise, and yes that needed to change if i wanted to run harder vet content.

However, if i was just solo playing PVE cotent which there is a ton of i was melting enemies left and right. So i was frusterated to say the least.

During that long talk with my guildmate. I kept thinking “I just want to play MY game and not worry about how much i do damage wise. I just want to have fun”. I realized though for me its about balance. After i slept on the issue and came back to it with a clearer head and started to rework Grey Claws I did see a change; which even helped in the in PVE content.

Now, truth be told i have not run my new build in a vet dungeon but i am feeling good and most importantly the changes i made were right for me and how i play.

What do you all think of end game content? Is it worth it. Should at that point just be a numbers game or what. Do games need to rework it or how should it be handled. Let me know in the comments.

The Adventure of Grey-Claws

Hello my dear readers! 🙂

I promise you all i am very much still alive. I took a bit of a blogging break for reasons. However, that does not mean i have not been gaming. If you all have been watching my twitch streams, or the replays you’ll know i have been knee deep in ESO or otherwise known as ElderScrolls Online.

I decided with the now new release of their next year long story coming June 21st at the time for Xbox if i was going to get back into the game now wohld be the time. So my one and only character Grey-Claws was made.

Grey-Claws is a Khajit Necromancer and boy do i have a blast playing him. So far as of this posting i am in the Summerset DLC zone with hopes of getting to the High Isle storyline soon.

Between dungeons, delves, open world bosses, crafting, daily quest, in game events there is more then enough to keep you and your character busy for THOUSANDS of hours. Plus with the latest expansion ESO launched its own in game card game.

Now is 100% the best time to get back into ESO if you are a new or returning player.

Has anyone seen how good gaming food look?

Hello Awesome Readers,

So maybe this is because i just got done making my first ever crockpot meal while having Julie and Julia playing in the background but has anyone noticed how awesome meals in games look?

Like regardless of if it is Zelda Breath of the Wild or Pokemon Sword and Shield. They all looked good. This also may help explain why i have a stomach and not the six pack abs i dream of every night haha.

I don’t know how many of you would do this and i still have a ways to go on the curry dex but there were times i would just play pokemon to figure out the newest combination or if i could get gold again.

Same with playing BOTW i would run around the land and collect in ingredients to throw in the pot to see what affect it may have.

There is something so universal and so amazing about food being able to bring people together isn’t there. Haha.

To Boldly Go into Star Trek Online

So its been a minute since i’ve updated you all and that is in large part due to being sucked into StarTrek Online.

This game is nothing new to many MMO players but wow has it held up well. I am as you all could guess playing on Xbox which is a few months behind but it is still a wonderful experiance with House United launched back in August.

Also for an older MMO they have a ton of different campaign paths which has not helped my mindless hours put into my many different characters.

What do you all think have you played STO? What faction is your favorite, what about ship what do you like to fly around in. I would love to more.

Why i LOVE our older gaming community

Hey Dear Readers,

I get that i am probably on the older side of gaming being 31 but i love meeting fellow older gamers.

That is not to say the younger gaming generation is bad. On the countrary i have many gaming buds who are in highschool and college who are some great friends and i love being able to give them some wisdom on life.

However them being younger i at times want to bang my head on the wall as to the stupid and dare i say childish behavior. There has been plenty of times where i have just straight up left the Xbox party out of frusteration.

Enter in my older gaming friends who are a true treat when i find them and we click haha. These gamers are older or roughly the same age and just amazing. We talk about work, family, life, health, and just enjoy the company while we are in a party. Yes we are questing and or shooting baddies but it is so much more relaxed and calm.

Some work retail, some are between jobs, some are not able to but not letting that hold them back from trying to hussle in other ways. Such as streaming on twitch or youtube. Which was not a thing when i was a kid and i love that we can try to do that.

The biggest thing for me is not having to apologize for life just happening i say this because so many young gamers they eat and sleep their game of choice. I get tunnel vision happens but my health be it physical or mental takes priority.

It is second nature now to get on a chat and apologize for not joining sooner or not being on all morning and bam we’ll start gaming but the added stress is there for me. Even though yes it is 100% a me problem i need to work on. It is something the younger generation at times gives us older generation grief for.

With the older generation everytime i have started to apologize i’m told not to worry about it and they are just happy i am on now or just hey life happens. Which is a great change of pace and allows me to not stress about it.

My last biggiest thing that makes me love my fellow older gamers is COMMUNICATION yes it is not a one size fits all and not everyone young or old is great at communication but i have found the older generation is much better at talking things out in a chat rather then raging and leaving the chat.

Yes that can be summed up to just being older and wiser but it also is nice to not have people call each other poo heads every other word when a battle isn’t going the right way.

Instead my older generation friends will say “Alright we totally sucked. Lets discuss what went wrong”. And its like yes. Lets not lay blame lets go forward as a group and be epic together.

I get a lot of the above comparing and contrasting will most likely be weeded out with the younger generation getting older but lets make sure as the next generation comes into gaming we show them good habits and better over all.

I get not every young gamer is bad or annoying and every older generation gamer is good and walks on water. This big blue world has many different people on it but we as a gaming community need to better to learn from our older gamers both just listen about life but realize we are all one day going to be the olde gamer and should continue to make our community and world a better place.

What do you all think about our older generation gamers. Are you one as well? Or do you think i am totally wrong. Let me know 🙂

Is it wrong to want a Boyfriend to Dungeon Delve with?

Hello Dear Readers,

So this is not an Anime title. Though if you know what the inspiration is from points for you 🙂

However the question is a valid one now with Boyfriend Dungeon out on Xbox gamepass. This cute dungeon crawler and dating sim is awesome.

If you like games like Hades but were dying for a more in depth dating experiance this will probably scratch that itch.

You can choose your pronouns, if that is your thing and you can choose your choice of dating partner regardless of their gender. That to me isn’t the coolest part though.

To me the coolest part is that your partner, who ever you choose will be a weapon. Saber, sword etc etc. And you dear reader are the welder of them and that is one of the ways you gain experiance and up their romance level as you go about the dungeon.

Tell me of a game that gives you that! I’ll wait….none that is for sure as far as i am aware. The dating aspect of the game though doesn’t really leave a lot to want. It is pretty routine choose your response up the friendship / relationship level etc etc nothing really new.

The story is pretty bland as well your typical MC who has never had success dating and is spending the summer with your cousin. There is also a slight mystery to solve as well but again nothing to crazy to write home about.

Still though it is a great game and i highly recommend this to anyone and everyone who likes a dungeon crawler or dating sim to give this a go you will mot regret it.

Missing Criminal Desire should be a crime :)

Pardon the corny title but it is true. The phone game Criminal Desires by Genuis yaoi studio’s is thus far pretty great.

Yes its a phone game, yes there are micro transactions to be able to get to say the thing that will make your possible crush fall for you faster. However, the writing didn’t make me feel like i was doomed choosing another option.

You play a cop and from what i gather your two main crushes are your partner (great play on words there) Rob and the not so criminal criminal Christopher. Both well drawn both strikingly handsome and i am excited to learn more of their story as it continues.

There is also your boss Clint who i wouldn’t mind getting to know as well. He seems like a good guy but something tells me there are a few things he is hiding in his closet he doesn’t want others to know. Namely the MC.

I am only a few episodes in but this game has a lot of promise and who doesn’t love some man on man cop drama. They even bring their own cuffs to the bedroom lol.

I am most interested in this stories crime family you are investigating. Are they as wonderful as they seem or not so much. Furthermore does Christopher remember meeting you as a cop or are you in the clear. So many questions i want to dive back in.

What does everyone else think? Have you all played this or possibly played another game i don’t know. Lets check it out together send me a shout.

Also don’t forget to follow me on twitch now as well and come say Hi. I love making friends and talk gaming. http://www.twitch.tv/otomebro

Spending my recovery with a Count

Hey Friends,

So the Count of Saint Germain has been keeping me company while I recover from a small surgery. We’ve been walking around the London of Code Realize: Gaurdian of Rebirth and he has been showing me all the differences of a steam city of the 19th Century. Now it will be interesting to see how the game plays out this myth of a man. Will I know why he regularly prays will i end up being the one of the reasons why he smiles? He is not an easy read.

The count up to this point of Code Realize seems to just be along for the fun of it. He is not a master thief like Lupin, or Vampire hunter like Van Hellsing, or tinker with machines like Impey or master chemist like Victor. He in the plan of a heist would be the money haha.

Saint Germain is allowing us all to stay at his country estate simply because it tickles his fancy. The only reason he knows of Lupin and Impey at the start of the game is because he ran into them and insisted to take part in their plan not because he was actually recruited. I find this interesting from a story standpoint because it is a lingering question of why?

I will be interested in seeing how the MC and the Count relationship evovles as the stories continue. He has been great company while i recover. Now we are off to rob a train talk later. 🙂
